Speed Racer The Movie Fast Action Plot
The whole movie is geared towards winning the race that is by far the most popular – The Crucible. Our hero, Speed Racer wants to win this race, not just for himself but for his brother who was a victim to it. The family business is racing cars and Rex Racer’s death has just fueled Speed Racer into getting there and trying to win it in the Mach 5, a really super car built by his father, Pops Racer. The family business is owned and run by his parents and Speed is a very loyal son.
How loyal a son Speed can be seen when the owner of the huge Royalton Industries makes him a very good offer to race and Speed turns it down, knowing full well that he has to race for his family and no one else never mind how tempting the deal is. Speed Racer comes through as an instinctive, natural racing champ and his heart is in his car and the speed to which he can let her rip.
Then comes the twist in the story when there is a plot that involves Royalton and Speed realizes that the races are being fixed by these huge corporates. The Royalton owner wants revenge because Speed turned down his offer and there is the implicit threat that Speed will not be around anymore to win any more races. With the support of his girl, Trixie and his family and with his wonderful car he goes forth to enter the race and to try and win it for his family’s sake and his own honor. He also has his brother’s memory to guide him. He has Racer X by his side and though he was a rival once upon a time, he now is on his side to make sure that racing is saved from the machinations of such cheats.
Right through, Speed Racer is totally focused and he believes that honesty will win out in the end. It’s a glorious race from start to finish and you should watch this nail biting ride. It’s not just about Speed Racer – it’s about good winning over evil, the classic storyline that always finds viewers with hope in their hearts and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s about David and Goliath with the youngster who stands up for what is right coming through in the end and it’s very watchable indeed.
